We know seafarers

Seafarers work in exceptionally demanding conditions. The demanding nature of the work and schedules, and longer than usual times on ships, demand special expertise of our clients and occupational healthcare.

Here at Maresan, our staff are professionals with deep experience and expertise of the special traits of seafarers’ occupational healthcare. Apart from caring for illnesses, we want to make a special investment in preventive working capacity and maintaining clients´ health. Our aim is a happy, healthy client who enjoys his or her job and has the energy to keep doing it.

Persons in charge

Our persons in charge at Maresan are Chief Occupational Doctor Markku Seuri and Chief Occupational Health Nursing Officer Ella Komulainen.

At our Turku office, our clients are served by Occupational Health Nursing Officer Sanna Kurppa.

In Maresan we can focus to improve the health of the seafarers and develop new ways of working particularly for the benefit of them. As the chief occupational health nursing officer it is my duty to ensure that our customers receive such service that takes care of their individual needs.”
